This book is about a laird who falls in love with one of his clan members, Ailios Connery, a woman that he is not betrothed to. In the face of impending attack from a nearby clan, she and Ian McDougall fight for their budding love for each other. After all, Ian's parents had a love match as well and ultimately wanted the same for their son.This was a well-written but albeit short story which didn't disappoint. It was written enough to where the story develops maturely, giving us a glimpse into the lives of Ian and Ailios which is enough to draw interest. I liked every page in the book and even liked the ending even more. Highly recommended.

Good story and characters. It's a very short story and would be thoroughly enjoyable if the errors were corrected. There are numerous words that appear to have been auto corrected or just simply misplaced in the text. It could be so much more!
